Meaningtool has an open Aplication Programming Interface (API). This means that anyone can build applications using Meaningtool's categorization services.

Getting Started

• Sign Up to Meaningtool.
• Choose the tree that best fits your needs from the Tree Directory or use a custom tree.
• Test your tree's categorization using our Play console.

Developing with the Meaningtool API

• Obtain your API KEY.
• Read the API documentation.
• Check out our developer kits available to help you build applications.
• Make requests to our API using your API KEY and TREE KEY.

Usage Limits

Per account limits (identified by your API KEY):

• 1000 calls per day.
• 1 request per second.
• 5 category trees.
• 50 categories.
• 500 classifiers.
